We’re here to help you challenge unfair DBS entries with expert guidance, strong representation, and supportive evidence to protect your future.
Meet the Crime legal team
The Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) are in charge of revealing information about you when you apply for jobs or other positions. Sometimes they reveal very old information or incomplete information with a view to ‘Minded to Bar’ individuals from certain regulated activity whether that is paid or voluntarily. We can assist you in challenging the process and put forward relevant evidence, which can be a variety of information such as character references, medical information, evidence of rehabilitation etc. We collate this information with you and draft robust representations on your behalf in order to appeal the initial decision from the DBS.
If necessary, we can challenge their decision with the Upper Tribunal Court, which can result in a hearing if an appeal in writing isn’t sufficient.
