Marital coercion

pryce-huhneThe defence of marital coercion has been abolished from today. This relic of English Law hit the headlines most recently when it was invoked by Vicky Pryce who was charged, along with her ex-husband Chris Huhne, with perverting the course of justice in relation to a speeding matter. The defence was not successful in that case and has now been abolished under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. The good news is that other, more sensible, defences are still available!
