Cristiane is a solicitor working in the litigation department with experience in all aspects of Landlord and Tenant Law. Having obtained a Law and French degree with honours from Bristol, UWE she completed law school at Guildford College of Law before qualifying in 2005. Following qualification she dealt with a mixture of work including family, housing, crime and immigration law. She joined Shentons in May 2011 having left Brain Chase Coles in Basingstoke where she specialised in providing housing and employment law advice. She has advised a wide variety of clients including letting agents, housing associations and tenants. Her main areas of specialism include possession proceedings, anti-social behaviour injunctions, housing disrepair, co-habitee disputes, succession rights, mobile homes, illegal evictions, homelessness and allocations.
Cristiane has acted as a legal adviser on the steering group which set up the housing court desk in Basingstoke and she now works in conjunction with the Citizen’s Advice Bureau to run the Court Desks in Winchester and Aldershot. Cristiane supervises the Public Funding (Legal Aid) housing contract and is keen to ensure that those on the peripherals of society are able to access free legal advice where possible.
