Nick Bell, Senior Partner at Shentons, took part in the London Marathon yesterday. Not only did Nick finish in the top 40% of runners, he and his running partner managed to raise around £4000 in sponsorship for local charity the Rose Road Association. Well done Nick: we are all very proud of you!

Shentons are delighted to welcome Jonathan Whettingsteel, who has joined the Family Department as a Solicitor. We wish him all the best with his career at the firm.
We were pleased to lend our support to a Quiz & Curry Night organised by local charity Simon Says on 27th March. Shentons sent along 3 teams, with the ‘Vindaloo’ team being the most highly placed of the three. Congratulations to Simon Says and the Concorde Club for organising such a successful event; everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Congratulations to Jayne Davies, who has qualified as a Family Mediator. Senior Solicitor Jayne is already highly experienced as a Collaborative Lawyer and this additional qualification will enable her to offer a wider range of solutions for dispute resolution to her clients. Jayne’s success brings the total number of qualified Mediators at Shentons to 4.

The Shentons Sharks and Shentons Stingrays have now gathered all their sponsorship money and are pleased to annouce that the total collected was £451 which, together with Gift Aid, will take the total raised for the Rotary charities over their £500 target. Well done everyone!
Nick Bell, Senior Partner at Shentons, recently celebrated his 35 year anniversary with the firm having joined Shentons as a graduate in February 1977 . Nick is pictured with some of his colleagues who gathered to mark the occasion.

A (slightly belated) welcome to Helen Davies, who joined the firm on 20th February as a Solicitor in the Family Department and who has already become a valuable member of the team. Helen’s full details will shortly be added to the website.
Shentons recently supported the annual Rotary Swimathon by entering two teams of four each, Shentons Sharks and Shentons Stingrays. Although it was not a race the Stingrays managed to complete 102 lengths between them in the allotted 55 minutes and the Sharks 84 lengths. Everyone worked really hard and entered into the spirit of it and enjoyed themselves as well as raising valuable funds. It is hoped that, in total, the two teams may raise a total of around £500 for the Rotary charities.
