Established in the early 1800′s Shentons act for both business and personal clients – some over many generations. We have strong links with the local community and are involved with a number of local events and organisations including Winchester Festival, Winchester Rugby Club, Winchester City Football Club, St Cross Cricket Club, Hursley 10K, Winchester NCT Group, Winchester Horticultural Society and Alresford Show.

The firm has members who are on the Law Society’s Specialist Panels including the Family Law Panel. Several are members of the Charities Law Association, Agricultural Law Association, Equine Lawyers Association, Employment Lawyers Association, the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners, Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists.
Shentons is a founder member of the Hampshire Mediation Group (HMG) and Shentons Mediation Services which comprises solicitors and counsellors who are trained in mediation and have extensive experience in family work. The firm is a member of Resolution which has a Code of Practice which encourages a constructive and conciliatory approach to resolving legal problems arising in families. Additionally the firm is able to offer civil, employment, and commercial mediation through its CEDR accredited mediator.
The firm is proud to have achieved the Lexcel quality standard. Lexcel is developed specifically for the legal profession. It is an optional, recognised accreditation scheme for law firms which give assurance that a practice meets high client care and business management standards. In addition, the firm has achieved the Conveyancing Quality Standard, which specifically relates to Residential Conveyancing.
Shentons undertakes publicly funded work in Family, Mediation, Crime and Housing at the specialist help level.
